Curtin Springs has been home to the Severin family since 1956, when Peter Severin arrived with his young wife Dawn, their toddler son Ashley and 1,500 head of cattle.

At Curtin Springs we balance beef production with being a million acre wildlife corridor, and offer many ways for visitors to connect with the spectacular landscape. We invite you to take a 'peek behind the curtain' to explore the wonders of our home.

Located just 85km east of Ayers Rock Resort, Curtin Springs (the first Wayside Inn in Central Australia) offers a perfect base from which to visit the Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon areas. Or stay a while longer and 'peel back the layers' by including our experiences, tours and hospitality in your travel plans.

Check in time is between 2pm and 7pm. No late check-ins available. Cancellation Policy: We know that plans can change unexpectedly when travelling in this part of the world. So we are as flexible as we can be with changes.

For bookings made over the phone or email directly with us:

As long as you let us know that something has changed and you won't be joining us, even up until the evening you are due to arrive, no charge applies. But if you forget to let us know that you won't be joining us one nights charge can be taken.

For bookings made online: Similarly, as long as you let us know that something has changed we are happy to transfer the booking to a future date and it is fully transferable to someone else. Refunds for bookings made online will have a 12/5% cancellation fee.

The rooms are very simple rooms and provide a great option for budget conscious travellers. These rooms have shared bathroom facilities and sleep a maximum of two people per room. All our rooms are airconditioned, with all linen supplied.

Ensuite Room (Double)

Our double ensuite rooms are a perfect option for couples. These rooms have a double bed, their own shower & toilet, wardrobes, tea/coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board. All our rooms are air conditioned and have all the linen provided.

Ensuite Room (Quad)

These rooms have 4 single beds in one rooms and can sleep 1,2,3 or 4 people - a great option for a family group or friends travelling together. These rooms have their own shower & toilet facilities, tea/coffee making facilities. All our rooms are airconditioned, with all linen supplied.

Ensuite Room (Triple)

Our triple ensuite rooms have a double bed and a single bed, their shower & toilet facilities, tea/coffee making facilities. All our rooms are airconditioned, with all lined supplied. There are two rooms sizes. The large triple rooms have the double bed in a separate room. The smaller triples have the double bed and the single bed in the one room. The quad ensuite rooms with 4 single beds are also able to be used for three people only.

Ensuite Room (Twin)

We have twin ensuite rooms available, sleeping 1 or 2 people per room. These rooms have two single beds, their own private shower & toilet and tea/coffee making facilities, iron & ironing board. All our rooms are airconditioned, with all linen supplid. The triple ensuite rooms (with a double bed and a single bed) or the quad ensuite rooms (with four single beds) are also available as twin ensuite rooms. Great when travelling with a friend.

Family Rooms

The family rooms have a double bed, 3 single beds and if needed two fold out lounges (single beds). These rooms have recently been completely refurbished and have full disabled bathrooms, tea/coffee making facilities, iron & ironing board. All our rooms are airconditioned with all linen supplied. These are our only accommodation rooms with their own small fridge.

Powered sites

We have 4 powered sites available in the campground. A nightly charge applies to these sites.
We have unlimited unpowered sites available. There is no nightly charge for unpowered sites.
In recognition of the huges costs to provide water for visitors, there is a $per person/per shower charge this is payable for everyone using the campground, whether in powered or unpowered sites.
