A site on country has been established on Bathurst Island for the purpose of Tiwi led cultural visitor experiences. The site is called Tarntipi Bush Camp, about 15 kms from Wurrumiyanga. The aim is to keep the facilities user friendly, in touch with nature, aligned with “Tiwi way” where Tiwi families welcome and provide a quality cultural experience to visitors. Facilities include drop toilets, cold water showers, kitchen area, shipping containers for storage, tent accommodation, shelter sheds, care takers cabin, solar power. Activities include, beach walks, bush tucker walks, bush medicine workshops, story and dance.
